CBI and EEF Look on the Bright Side
After a weekend with dozens of ambitious owner-managers at the BGP, it is always easy to look on the bright side on a Monday morning. This is helped by the BBC reporting today that both the Confederation of British Industry and the Engineering Employer’s Federation are reporting increased optimisim amongst their members. This is especially good news, particularly with the EEF, who traditionally represent manufacturing industry. Economists seem to feel that the exchange rate is finally starting to bring some benefit and the hope of an export-led recovery. Given the state of debt in the UK, it is widely believed exports are the sustainable way to growth. Let us hope so.
I would still love to hear from a few more people who read this blog – thanks to those who have responded already.
